Users have reported choppy audio in phone conversations since the implementation of SIP phones on the network. Which of the following should be implemented to alleviate the delays?
A. Caching
B. VoIP
C. QoS
D. SMTP
One Comment on “Which of the following should be implemented to alleviate the delays?”
Shirley Mathewsays:
Choppy voice quality is caused by voice packets being either variably delayed or lost in the network so we want to increase the bandwidth (frequency transmission)
SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) is a standard of VoIP
caching will reduce overall network traffic so that may actually make the problem worse
QoS will control the bandwidth so in this case we can allocate more BW to phones using QoS to improve frequencies and prevent packet loss and ultimately decrease choppy sounds.
