This question is crap! A is more correct but still incorrect.

Bandwidth interzone for cluster b is set to 48k each g729 call is 8k plus overhead. so 24k each 24×2 = 48 so only 2 calls can be placed.

but b is not possible as we only have 48 k
c is not possible as we only have 48k
and d is incorrect as th bandwith interzone command clearly states that there is only 48k allowed

This response is a little late but A is exactly correct. In H323, the BW calculation per call is based on the CODEC BW X 2. So a G729 is 8kbps per the standard so 2 X 8k is 16kbps per call. Multiply that times3 calls and you have 48kbps. In Call Manager, your response is spot on correct Rick. 8K per call plus 16K of overhead equals 24K per call (same as G711/722 but the difference is 711/722 require 64K per the standard, plus 16K for overhead (not including Layer 2 overhead) therefore each 711 call is about 80K per call but once again only from Call Managers perspective). I hope someone finds this helpful including Rick.

Ahhh ok. I already passed the exam but now its clear. So by default in a gatekeeper scenario, it simply multiples the call codec bandwidth x2 to make estimate the call and overhead. Your a champ JWMCINSC! 😉
