A would allow us to have the maximum duration for logs , but there is no retention policy being set so log deletion should be manual and logging will stop when logs reach 20TB of size .. while B sets a retention policy to the max number of days allowed which is 365

It should be A – without setting retention you can have logs for 366+ days

This is Tricky.
They mention “to retain” if this implies “Retention Policy” then it is B with 365.
If “to retain” just means to keep forever, then it is A and it is up to the Admin to delete the monitoring logs.

Think it’s not so much tricky as worded horribly. Too much to infer here. Problem with A is that the logging level is at minimal, providing minimal and aggregated data across all 4 storage services, i.e., not much information and aggregated together. B sets level to verbose, which appears to give richer information and individual information for each individual storage operation. Wondering if B is a ‘better’ answer???
