    No, you’re wrong. Read the question.

    “Your company develops a custom hardware device.”

    Theres another question in this series that states that printer devices are not being discovered, this is when A would be the right answer, as the Printer wmi class is a known (default) class.

    A “Custom” developed device however, would not fall under the default WMI classes and would require a new one be created from the WMI namespace of another device.

    Answer should be BC,
    Those custom hardware device are installed on the computers so they should be collected from computer WMI however you need create the custom class under it.

    To me it all goes back to what exactly is a custom device ! can or con not be found in WMI classes … both adding WMI class or using NOIDMIF could be the answer and I can not rule out any of hem ….

    A – wrong. This is custom device
    B – wrong. Other devices successfully inventoried
    d, f, g, i – wrong. This is not software
    H – wrong. In System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, you no longer edit the sms_def.mof file as you did in Configuration Manager 2007.
    C – may be, if this custom device implement custom wmi class
    E – may be. Use NOIDMIF files to collect information about client devices that cannot be inventoried by Configuration Manager.
