HOTSPOT
You have a server named Server1 that runs Windows Server 2016. Server1 has the Windows Application
Proxy role service installed.
You need to publish Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync services by using the Publish New Application Wizard. The
ActiveSync services must use preauthentication.
How should you configure Server1? To answer, select the appropriate options in the answer area.
Hot Area:

This says ActiveSync MUST USE preauthentication, which is not pass-through.

And yet, if we look at this page:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/remote/remote-access/web-application-proxy/publishing-applications-with-sharepoint%2c-exchange-and-rdg
It clearly states that Pass-Through is a supported pre-authentication for ActiveSync. So is the answer correct or not?

Anyways, since that same page also states “AD FS using HTTP Basic authorization protocol” and we have both those options here, I guess that would be the answer then: AD FS & HTTP Basic
