An advantage of link encryption in a communications network is that it

A.
makes key management and distribution easier.
B.
protects data from start to finish through the entire network.
C.
improves the efficiency of the transmission.
D.
encrypts all information, including headers and routing information.

Your link shows us that D is the correct answer.
“Link encryption encrypts all the data along a specific communication path, as in a satellite link, T3 line, or telephone circuit. Not only is the user information encrypted, but the header, trailers, addresses, and routing data that are part of the packets are also encrypted.”

Must be B; including headers and routing information.? Communications is not possible in the case or am I wrong?

Communication is still possible. look at how tunneling mode works. http://searchenterprisewan.techtarget.com/tutorial/IPsec-tunnel-mode-How-it-works

Link to Link is not enabled for an entire. Its based on each hop. Router to Router. Option D is the best option. CISSP is about the selecting the best answer.

I think that keywords here are Link and Network , technically speaking a Link is not Entire Network it can be entire network or can be a part of network but still its very ambiguous

In Link to link encryption, the packets are decrypted at every node so there’s a possibility of node being compromised and packets being captured by an attacker, so cant say that Link encryption protects data from start to end. D is most appropriate.
