Unrecovered media errors are not fixable. A critical event will be logged in the Major Event Log
(MEL) and subsequent manual intervention will be required.

If the RAID type is 0,then the data from the mirrored drive will be used to restore the data.

A counter is kept of the number of unrecovered media errors and when a user defined
threshold is met, an audible alarm will sound and the LED on the suspect drive will turn amber.
