What should you recommend?

Refer to the exhibit.

You are expanding the compute layer of a VDC, and need to add more access layer switches to
provide connectivity to the hypervisors. However, there are no available ports on the two
aggregation layer switches to accommodate the uplink connections from the new access layer
switches, and all uplinks are active and operating at 95% of capacity.
Your design must satisfy all of the following requirements:
– Expand the access layer
– Maintain the same configuration as the existing environment
– Maintain the performance of the existing environment
The CIO has authorized you to purchase additional aggregation layer switches if needed.

This makes no sense. To increase port count you only need one more aggregation switch.
If you then redistribute half of the connections from the access switches to the new aggregation layer switch you still have you performance and the same configuration. Its not possible to do this without changing some configuration. Port channels need to be configured, Trunking etc. I could be wrong but C seems most logical to me.

It seems that the comment ” maintain the same configuration as the existing environment” makes the answer D since the existing env has a mesh connection with failover from the access switches, so you would need to add 2 more aggregation and connect the new access switches the same way.
