A customer has been using EMC Avamar to leverage deduplication for VMware. They have been
performing guest-level backups and now want to also perform VMware image backups for disaster
recovery.
In order to use image backups, what is recommended in the environment?
A.
SAN-attached Data Store
B.
Image proxy Windows host
C.
Avamar client agent running on the vCenter server
D.
Avamar client running on each guest
I think the Answer is “B”.
A quote from student guide:
“VMware Image Backup uses a virtual machine as a proxy server to handle backup processing.”
In addition to that, why SAN-attached datastore has to be in the environment? NFS also works in my opinion.
