backup tapes along with most computer oriented devices run of of electricity. this question is asking where should u not keep a backup tape(s) considering the environment being dangerous or unsecure. the answer being: C.near a power line.
1st. A. fiber optics are not dangerous to backup tapes because they run light through them not voltage. B. LCD (liquid crystal display) will not be any harm to a backup tape simply because it does not produce static electricity from the screen. D. a high end server is always highly secured or at least should be and additionally have multiple backup capabilities in most cases. C. is the correct answer because a power line produces alot of voltage and is running constantly, when power goes out of the power line a surge can be emitted which could easily wipe or damage or wipe all together the data on a backup tape.
