  1. Karakhan says:

    • If you administratively bring the home port of a LIF to the up state before setting the automatic revert option, the LIF is not returned to the home port.
    • The node-management LIF does not automatically revert unless the value of the auto revert
    option is set to true.
    • Cluster LIFs always revert to their home ports irrespective of the value of the auto revert
    option.

So, A is wrong, B is wrong by defenition (node management cannot reside on another “partner” node), C is wrong, because data lif WILL revert back if auto-revert is enabled.
E is true, because if mgmt port of one node serves for cluster-mgmt lif and goes down, it fails over the port of another node.
    F is true.
What about D? A cluster management Ethernet LIF can be set to auto-revert-true. So, is this answer is false too? I cannot find 3 true answers.

  2. Ric says:

    Should be C,E,F.

A Is wrong because of the word never. It can be failed back manually or if auto revert is set to true.

B is wrong as stated by Karakhan. It can only failover to a port on the same node.

C is CORRECT because Data and cluster management LIFs (also node-management LIFs in 8.1) can be configured to auto-revert. However is turned off by default. https://kb.netapp.com/support/index?page=content&id=1013689&pmv=print&impressions=false (4th paragraph under LIF Failover & LIF migration section.

D is wrong also because of the word NEVER. It can be done manually or if auto revert is set. Auto revert is disabled by default

    E & F are true
