    Not 100% sure about this one since w2012 uses DFS and all DC seems to be migrated to 2012… BUT, i found this KB:

    The requirement for using DFS-R is that your domain functional level be at least Windows Server 2008. This means a little more than getting all your domain controllers to Windows Server 2008 or higher. You would think you could just upgrade your Windows Server 2003 DCs to Windows Server 2008 or higher and you would be good to go. It just doesn’t quite work that way. The migration process from FRS to DFS-R actually works through a number of states, during which SYSVOL replication transitions from FRS replication to DFS-R. The steps and states are clearly defi ned in the following section.

    I really urge you to migrate your FRS replication to DFS-R. FRS is supported in Windows Server 2012, but there are rumors that FRS might not be supported in upcoming versions of Windows Server. Therefore, plan ahead and take these steps.
