I dont know why “Configuration files and diagnostic data including metrics and crash dumps” should be in File Storage, i mean it could be valid, but Blob storage too.

File storage is used when you want to share the data between multiple VMs. Configuration files and crash dumps belong to that category, so File storage is appropriate.
