    Someone somewhere else mentioned the Advanced tab since there is a sql command there as well. This is why that is not the answer. The query in the advanced tab is for partial cache lookups only. The difference between that and the query in the connection tab is that the latter is not and can not be parameterized because the lookup transform loads the entire result of the query into the cache during preexecution before the parameters might even resolve.
