    Note Storage Spaces Direct Availability
Storage Spaces Direct is included only in the Datacenter edition of Windows
Server 2016, not the Standard edition. You can use S2D on a Datacenter
server using any of the installation options, however, including Server Core
and Nano Server, as well as the full Desktop Experience.
