    Point to Point servers to validate the identity of remote clients. The connection is based
    upon the peer sharing a password, or secret. iSCSI capable storage systems support both
    one-way and mutual CHAP. For one-way CHAP, each target can have its own unique CHAP
    secret. For mutual CHAP, the initiator itself has a single secret with all targets.
    CHAP security can be set up either as one-way CHAP or mutual CHAP. You must set up the
    target (storage array) and the initiator (host) to use the same type of CHAP to establish a
    successful login.
    Unisphere is used to configure CHAP on the storage array. To configure CHAP on the host,
    use the vendor tools for either the iSCSI HBA or NIC installed on each initiator host. For a
    Qlogic iSCSI HBA use SANsurfer software. For a standard NIC on a Windows host use
    Microsoft iSCSI Initiator software. On a Linux host, CHAP is configured by entering the
    appropriate information in the /etc/iscsi.conf file.
