   The Avamar server supports up to 72 simultaneous client connections per node; one connection per Avamar server is reserved for restores. This limitation may affect initial backups, but has little impact on subsequent backups. (Note: Avamar Virtual Edition has a lower limit of 27 connections.

   27 connections per node in case of AVE
   The Avamar server supports up to 72 simultaneous client connections per node.
   where:

   AVE= 27-1 =26 backup connection for AVE and one restore connection.
   AVamar physical= 72-1= 71 backup connection per node and 1 connection for restore.
