  1. jslaven says:

Candidate-RP sends announcement messages to the 224.0.1.39 group
Mapping-agent sends discovery messages to the 224.0.1.40 group.

ACLs are wrong because the 224.x.y.z IP addresses are not source addresses. ACLs should be:

    ipv4 access-list acl1
    permit ipv4 any 224.11.11.11 0.0.0.0

    ipv4 access-list acl2
    permit ipv4 any 224.99.99.99 0.0.0.0

    Answer F incorrect?

The prerequisite for SSM deployment is a mechanism that allows hosts to report not only the group that they want to join, but also the source for the group. This mechanism is built into the IGMPv3 standard.

RPs for SSM groups are not needed, because the discovery of sources is performed via some other method. In fact, routers must not build shared trees for groups in the SSM range (232.0.0.0/8).

  3. jslaven says:

IGMPv3 is backward compatible with IGMPv2 so is answer F right?

The main intention of IGMPv3 is to allow hosts to indicate that they only want to receive traffic from a particular source within a multicast group. This enhancement will allow routers in sparse mode to build a source distribution tree directly, thereby avoiding the RP.
