        VXLAN is not VLAN.
        VLAN is at Layer2 level.
VXLAN is at Layer 3. Encapsulating L2 over L3. VLAN technology is not aware of the VXLAN and then, the number of VLANs is not extended.

If anyone is trying for the 2V0-642 (aka NSX 6.2 exams), almost none of the 170+ questions appears in the exams.

I managed to pass with 330 (300 to pass). I did all the tests here, read up some documentations and played with NSX in my firm. So just doing the tests here will not help you pass the exams as almost none of the questions appear for 2V0-642 exams.

There is a lot of focus on the following:
    – cross vcenter requirements, setup and operations, with uDLR, uTZ, HA, etc
    – network topology/protocols and how they work with NSX example, OSPF, BGP, etc
    – security groups and data security
    – DFW and FW in Edges
    – troubleshooting tools like netflow IPfix, etc
    – good understanding of vSphere VDS and VSS and ESXi
    – VXLAN flows with NSX

Had the same issue Kelvin. Unfortunately for me, I got a 290 something. Do you know of a good study guide for the 2V0-642? I have been looking for one and have not had much luck.

      Thanks,

      Josh
