    The documentation says that
    Global: Act as vCenter Server
    is a required permission.

    However it also says:

    ———
The following Host privilege is required to implement View Storage Accelerator, which enables ESXi host caching. If you do not use View Storage Accelerator, the vCenter Server user does not need this privilege.

Host: In Configuration > Advanced settings
    ———

So if you have “Act as vCenter Server” but don’t have
“Host: Configuration > Advanced settings” then you would still face the problem.

    The solution then should be:

    B. Host.Configuration > Advanced settings
