    Upgrades that switch from a Server Core installation to the Server with a GUI mode of Windows Server 2012 R2 in one step (and vice versa) are not supported. However, after upgrade is complete, Windows Server 2012 R2 allows you to switch freely between Server Core and Server with a GUI modes.     But… in practice it IS possible to upgrade a 2008R2 Core server to 2012r2 with GUI in one pass…
    I tried it.
    I started setup.exe and with the graphical setup tool I was able to install 2012r2 with a GUI, the server rebooted and I received a 2012r2 server with GUI.

    So, the answer should have been A, but on technet everybody says that this isn’t possible, so for your exam, select D.
