I tested this with my phone. When i am paired is displays “OK”. When i am not paired/connected it displays “unknown”. I would say “ready to pair”.

“Paired and working “and “paired and unresponsive” give the
same data result ( i have tested)
Definitely Bluetooth is turned off in the settings
