One Comment on “which RAID level should he implement?

  1. Bucky says:

The correct answer should be any RAID configuration, except for RAID 0.

“RAID levels greater than RAID 0 provide protection against whole disk failure.” source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAID

If a disk using RAID 1 fails, you still have the other. If the parity disk fails in RAID 3, you still have the main disks. If a main disk fails in RAID 3, you can recreate it with the parity disk.
