A is correct.
The dpnnetutil utility will configure networking on an Avamar server beyond basic IP
settings. This utility creates the probe.xml file on the utility which lists the storage node IP
addresses. Without this file, the utility node is not aware of its storage nodes.
Running dpnnetutil is not always necessary. The probe.xml file can also be generated later,
during the Avamar software installation. However, only basic networking configurations can
be configured with the Avamar installation GUI. If using VLAN or NAT, running dpnnetutil is
required
