A typical full filesystem restore is performed by first deploying a “bootstrap” virtual machine
from a virtual machine template that has a preinstalled Avamar backup agent. Oftentimes,
restoring from a template is faster than a full-image restore. This bootstrap image can
include applications that are used such as databases.
