One Comment on “What is the maximum number of streams that can be configured?

  1. Alfredo says:

An NDMP accelerator can be configured to allow multiple simultaneous backups. Up to 8
streams are supported with VNX (with more than 8 GB of RAM), Isilon, or NetApp. Four
simultaneous streams are supported with EMC VNX and Celerra with just 8 GB of RAM.
Average allocation is 4 GB RAM per backup stream. To run different devices simultaneously,
backups are initiated as scheduled group backups; on-demand backups run one at a time.

Right answer is 4 streams as this is a Celerra system.
