What is the reason for this?
A customer merged two fabrics with multiple ED-12000Bs. All Domain ID’s are at default. One
director remains segmented. What is the reason for this?
How many ED-64M2’s are required considering the future growth?
The customer wants to consolidate their current SAN consisting of four fully populated ED-64M2s,
two DS-32M2 switches and two DS-32B2 switches. Current total throughput is 80% of their
aggregate bandwidth. Customer anticipates 70% increase in throughput over the next two years.
The customer wants ED-64M2. How many ED-64M2’s are required considering the future growth?
What is the issue?
The customer has the following configuration: ControlCenter recently upgraded to 5.2 SP1 SAN
Manager 5.2 Connectrix Manager 7.01 FibreZoneBridge is at 2.2.6. The customer is migrating
from an NT Service Processor to a 1U Server. They installed Connectrix Manager 8.01 and
reinstalling FibreZoneBridge 2.2.6 using all the defaults in the setup program. This upgrade was
successful but SAN Manager can not discover the switches. What is the issue?
How could this have been prevented?
Your customer has recently purchased a second site and is now in the process of connecting the
second site to the existing environment. Customer is using DS16B2, DS32B2 and ED-24000B
switches and directors. Sever problems, such as unstable and unmanageable fabric, occurred
after connecting the two sites with an MPR 7420. How could this have been prevented?
What are two [2] steps required to perform this migration?
Your customer has three fabric islands. One fabric island has three ED-1032s. Two other fabric
islands have two DS16B2s in each. The customer wants to migrate to two fabrics built of two MDS
9509s in each fabric. Several SUN Solaris servers must be migrated on-line to the new fabrics.
What are two [2] steps required to perform this migration?
What is causing the two switches to segment?
A customer is having trouble merging two DS-16B2 switches. They verified that the firmware and
operating parameters are identical on both switches. What is causing the two switches to
segment?

Which FCC policy definition must be enabled so that Alerts are sent to the console whenever such differences o
Customer is using ControlCenter Policy definitions to monitor and manage their fabric. Customer
has expressed concerns that there are often differences between what is reported in
ControlCenter and the switches. Which FCC policy definition must be enabled so that Alerts are
sent to the console whenever such differences occur?
What does the customer need to do to fix this problem?
Why would the change to the IP load balancing/HA configuration cause this behavior?
An FCIP between two sites with MDS directors was successfully implemented. Dual FCIP links
were connected between the two geographically separate sites. The customer was running a
highly available IP network utilizing the HSRP protocol between their ingress/egress routers.
Recently a network event caused the customer IT Networking team to change the IP load
balancing/HA configuration from HSRP to VRRP. Since making the change the FCIP links have
either been down, or worked only intermittently. Why would the change to the IP load
balancing/HA configuration cause this behavior?
