Why does the Celerra NOT boot up?
Why did the file system creation fail on the last attempt?
A storage administrator creates a new file system on their EMC VNX. They observe that the new
file system does not perform as well as the first set of file systems they created. AVM was used to
create all file systems using pool LUNs. All disks in the VNX are the same size and speed SAS
drives.
When the storage administrator attempts to create another file system, using the same resources,
the creation process fails. Why did the file system creation fail on the last attempt?
What could have caused the move?
Several file systems were replicated. After customer verification, the replicated file systems were
put into production. An hour later, the datamover panicked causing a reboot. After the reboot,
users started complaining of missing files on one file system.
The customer thought it was an unsuccessful replication. We found the reported missing files in
the lost+found directory. What could have caused the move?
Which server deployment will meet the customer’s requirements?
A customer has recently installed ESXi 5.0 on a five host cluster attached to an EMC VNX using
FCoE. EMC PowerPath/VE has been installed on all hosts in the cluster for load balancing. The
customer wants to issue PowerPath commands to all the hosts from a Remote Management
Server. Which server deployment will meet the customer’s requirements?
How would you fix this problem?
What is the most likely cause of the issue observed during failover test?
A customer configures replication between two data movers for their VDM environment. The
primary data mover has one 1 Gb copper ethernet port and the destination Data Mover has one 10
Gb optical network port. The customer completes a failover test and then remote clients report
they are unable to access data. The customer requests your assistance.
What is the most likely cause of the issue observed during failover test?
Which tool would you use to migrate this filesystem?
You need to migrate your customer’s filesystem from a Windows Server to a new Celerra. The
customer’s data includes a lot of .pst files and they need to do this with as little down time as
possible. Which tool would you use to migrate this filesystem?
What is the minimum number of physical disks required to support the information provided by the customer?
A customer plans to place their SQL server transaction logs on an EMC VNX. The customer
provides the following information about their SQL environment:
Database block size is 8 KB
Transaction log growth is 10 GB
Performance sample period is 1 hour
15K SAS drives rated at 180 I/O per second each
What is the minimum number of physical disks required to support the information provided by the
customer?
What could be the cause?
Your customer has implemented HighRoad and they are having performance problems. What
could be the cause?
Which configurable SAN Copy feature would you recommend?
You are implementing SAN Copy for Linux hosts connected to an EMC VNX using FC and iSCSI
connectivity. There are eight queued sessions and multiple applications contending for bandwidth.
