   Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) is the technology of indoor and vehicular environmental comfort. Its goal is to provide thermal comfort and acceptable indoor air quality.

   Availability means simply to make sure that the data and systems are available for authorized users.
   Data backups, redundant systems, and disaster recovery plans all support availability; as does environmental support by means of HVAC.

   HVAC is not concerned with nor can provide any help with data integrity, data confidentiality or fire supression.
