yup. ProLiant 300 series is available in rack and tower options, but the question also specifies upgrading from DL360 G6 which is a rack server

So, the answer should be D?

Its a trick question. I would choose Proliant 300 series, available in rack and tower configurations. Gen 9 is a big upgrade from G6 even if you stay on the same series.

HPE ProLiant Gen9 Rack Scale-up Servers are designed for today’s most demanding scale-up workloads. HPE ProLiant 500 Series Gen9 servers (DL560 and DL580) deliver unparalleled scalability, reliability, and availability to unleash the power of your business data for enterprise and high-performance computing (HPC) businesses.

The Question says that it’s a scaleup workload and the customer needs more computing power. 4 sockets instad of 2 also is an upgrade

Scale-up upgrade from DL360 is the 500 series. It’s in the pdf linked in the first answer. Only 2 series have “scale-up” as a target workload in G9, the 100 series, and the 500 series.

However —- it specifically asks for a product line that has rack and tower servers, that needs more performance from their environment. In that instance, the upgrade option that fits both requirements, that specifically qualifies based off of scale-up workloads, is the 100 series.

The answer should be D, the 500 series, but if you focus on that term alone, it would be B. Someone needs to slap the crap out of whoever made up these questions.
