For Single Login and Secure Task Execution (STE) to work, the managed system must be running
a supported agent and be configured to trust the HP Systems Insight Manager server. Three
levels of trust configuration are available.
Trust All. The managed system trusts any HP Systems Insight Manager server, without verifying
its digital signature. This configuration is the easiest to enable, but it leaves your managed system
open to any HP Systems Insight Manager server request, including requests from HP Systems
Insight Manager servers installed in a test environment or bogus requests formatted to appear as
valid requests. Select this option with caution.
Trust By Name. The managed system trusts any of the HP Systems Insight Manager servers
specifically named in the list without verifying the digital signature. This configuration is still
susceptible to accepting bogus requests formatted as valid requests from the named servers.
Select this option with caution.
Trust By Certificate. The managed system only trusts HP Systems Insight Manager servers in the
certificate list and verifies its digital signature. This configuration is the most secure option
because it validates the digital signature of the request against a locally stored certificate,
authenticating the sender and ensuring message integrity.
