But does that column on screenshot from JefC count as vSwitch “configuration” – it only shows the assigned vSwitch, doesn’t really show how it’s configured? The driver is the title itself in bold, as in “Gigabit VT Quad Port Server Adapter”

    No?

Why can I see adapter drivers too in above given screenshot? Isn’t Netextreme Broadcom II BCM 5708 a driver? In that case isn’t B also correct? Shouldn’t be BCD and CDE both be correct?

  4. Nick says:

    This question is weird.

Because you can clearly see the drivers in the screen shot. It’s actually BCDE.

Hopefully I don’t see this on the test in 2 days. Won’t know what the real answer is.

  5. Rich says:

Though I think VMWare is looking for C,D,E, technically E is wrong. You can see which vSwitch the adapter is connected to, but you cannot see the vSwitch configuration.

On the other hand, the name of the Adapter type really isn’t exactly the same as the adapter driver itself.

So technically only C & D are correct.

But this test doesn’t seem to testing on what’s technically correct, it’s more about word games.
