    a rescan is done when a change to the storage or connection has been made. it only needs to be done on one Host while the rest of the host using the same datastore only need to refresh since a rescan has alread y been done previously by another host.

    Thanks – but wouldn’t it be easier to simply do a rescan at the cluster level in terms of least about of administrative work to achieve the same result?

    Point being wouldn’t C be an alternative answer to the question if it achieves the same result as B?
