    STP is no longer required, but Transparent Interconnection of Lots of Links (TRILL) is used as replacement which is another protocol for loop avoidance. Ill go with D.

    I still go for the A first because TRILL primarily is a load distribution switching mechanism which is loop-free thanks to its link state nature, whereas the STP is solely a loop prevention method for the L2 switching network and is not required in L3 spine and leaf networks.And D is wrong cuz VMWare clearly says that Logical switching enables extension of a L2 segment / IP subnet anywhere in the fabric independent of the physical network design so it is not rely on any specific type of underlying network such as spine and leaf.
