  1. Baher says:

B & D are the correct answer (more or less)

    (A) is out as host-based firewall exists (security profile) on both ESXi 4.x and 5.x
    (C) the level of web-management done on ESXi 4.x is more or less the same on ESXi 5.x
    (B) VMWare is trying to emphasize on the certification (Blue Print) the idea that USB/SD drive-based installation if (fully) supported on ESXi 5.x meaning that you can perform either Fresh or Upgrade installation manually or via scripted-method. ESXi 4.x fresh installation did work on USB, but scripted installation was not supported on USB.

  2. Streuber says:

The key word in this question is “implementation”. A boot source and a storage layout is implementation related. I agree with B and D after picking the question apart.

    1. Mark says:

      Agreed.

A – wrong because it says HOST-BASED firewall
B – wrong because you can have USB booting on ESXi 4.1 (see http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1020655)
C – you have the web client, which you didn’t before.
      D – see http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=3371739
quote “Note: As of ESXi 5.0, support for LUNs larger then 2TB is available with both VMFS5 datastores and Physical-mode RDMs. However, virtual disks used in virtual machines and Virtual-mode RDMs are still limited to 2TB – 512 bytes. For more information, see vSphere 5 FAQ: VMFS-5 (2003813).”
