    I have never had Antivirus, anti-spyware or firewall detect a phishing email. And It is a good practice to not reply to emails or pop-up ads that ask for personal or financial info. So why is the “correct” answer A and not D?

    You can ignor the email and pop up, but this is not solving the problem. you need anti-virus, anti-spam, etc to clean you system.
