According to the NMAP project guide, the -sO command determines which protocol are suppoerted by a target machine, the guide states that “this isnt technically a port scan, since it cycles through IP protocol numbers rather than TCP/UDP port numbers”.
Can anyone explain this?
I would choose the -sS option.
