A total loss would require a full restore. A “Full” backup was done on Sunday – this backs up everything, to one tape (within capacity). Incremental backups where then carried out Mon, Tue, Wed. An incremental backup will only backup what has been changed since the last backup. Therefore in the case of a total loss we need to restore using the Full backup(Sun), followed by each incrementals, in the correct order (Mon then Tue then Wed).
