your explanation is correct for a cluster configuration but the question simply asks for any IPv6 deployment. i believe this is possible but not for cluster (which was not asked in the question).

      From sk39374

Can I have a Security Gateway that only runs IPv6?
In R76, it is possible to operate a Security Gateway (regular or VS mode) entirely with IPv6.

In releases prior to R76 releases, Management only occurs over IPv4. In this case, all Security Gateways are required to have interfaces configured with valid IPv4 addresses.

      I go with C

  1. reytiranox says:

To create new cluster members for ClusterXL:
Define an IP address for each interface on all members. Do not define IPv6 addresses for synchronization interfaces.

To create a new cluster with the Appliance or Open Server Wizard:

Important: You must define a corresponding IPv4 address for every IPv6 address. This release does not support pure IPv6 addresses.

    To configure a cluster member:
Important: You must define a corresponding IPv4 address for every IPv6 address. This release does not support pure IPv6 addresses.
    ****The option D says:
No. IPv4 addresses are required for management.****

So, based just on the options to this question i would select “C”

  2. Chirag Rao says:

The ClusterXL guide for R77.10 clearly states that pure IPv6 is not possible. Moreover, the synchronization interfaces must be configured with IPv4 addresses. To me, D seems to be the right answer.
